Privacy Policy

How we handle information shared through the NTTS website, contact form and event registration.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who is responsible for your information?

This notice applies to thettsummit.com and enquiries and registrations for the National Tourism Transportation Summit & Expo (NTTS), organised by the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria. Contact the Summit Secretariat using the details below for questions about this notice or your information.

Information you provide

Our contact form collects your name, email address and message. The registration form asks for contact details, your organisation and role, location, industry, attendance preferences and other event-related information shown on the form. Please provide only what is requested and avoid including passwords, full payment-card details or sensitive information in general enquiries.

If you contact the Secretariat about a payment or booking, we may need your name, booking details and relevant payment reference to identify your request.

How your information is used

Information supplied through the site is used to answer enquiries, administer the participation you request, communicate practical event information, manage delegate or exhibitor arrangements, and keep appropriate administrative records. Technical information may be used to operate the website, detect abuse and protect forms and accounts.

Processing is based on the purpose of your request, applicable contractual or legal requirements, and legitimate administrative or security interests where appropriate. Where consent is required, it should be requested separately; simply reading this notice is not consent to unrelated marketing.

Forms, maps and other service providers

The registration page embeds Google Forms, and location sections embed Google Maps. These services can receive information about your device and your interaction with the embedded content. Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy.

Our website also uses hosting, email, backup and security services. Information needed to operate the site or respond to a request may be accessible to authorised organisers and service providers supporting those activities. Disclosure may also be required by applicable law or a valid official request.

Cookies and technical information

WordPress and embedded services may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies for functions such as sign-in, security, form operation and saving preferences. Hosting and security systems may record technical details such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and review the controls offered by embedded providers. Restricting these technologies may affect some forms, maps or other functions.

Storage and international services

Information may be stored on systems used by the organisers, hosting and email providers, and Google services. Some providers may process information outside Nigeria. The applicable location and safeguards depend on the provider and service. You can contact the Secretariat for further information about a particular submission or service.

How long information is kept

Information is retained for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including event administration, responding to enquiries, relevant accounting records, security and legal obligations. Records should be reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer required. You can ask about retention or request deletion of information relating to you; some records may need to be kept where the law permits or requires this.

Event photographs and published material

The site contains event photographs, speaker information and reports from past editions. If you have a privacy concern about an identifiable photograph or published information relating to you, contact the Secretariat with the page link and enough detail to identify the material.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to particular processing, or a portable copy where applicable. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.

Send your request to the Secretariat. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. You may also raise a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security and children

Website and service-provider safeguards are intended to reduce unauthorised access, loss and misuse, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact the Secretariat if you believe information has been misdirected or exposed.

The site is directed primarily at professional event participants. A parent or guardian who is concerned about information submitted by a child can contact the Secretariat to request a review.

This notice may be updated as the website, event arrangements or information practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
